About Me

My name is Rebecca and I am a full-time working mom to three kids ages 7, 3, and less than a year.  To be honest, I never thought in a million years I would have a blog.  But I seem to find myself struggling daily to be a good mom and balance all the other demands of life, and I thought maybe many others out there felt the same way.  This was the impetus behind beginning my blog.  I always find it a great source of strength and comfort to know that other people are having similar experiences.

Things About Me:

I went back to school for my Masters degree in Human Resources at the age of 30.  I have since worked for a Fortune 50 company and now work at a Big 10 University.

I get a knot in my stomach every morning when I bring my kids to daycare and wish I could spend more time with them.

I try to eat healthy, but enjoy a good cupcake just as much as the next girl.

My mother is my hero.  She has faced much more than her fair share of challenges and has done so unselfishly and with grace.

I try to exercise often, especially run, but struggle to find time and energy now with life and kids.

I love to cook and experiment with new recipes, but tend to gravitate toward what is quick and convenient now most nights after work (and what everyone will eat).  Needless to say, I eat more chicken tenders than I would like.

I absolutely love Shaklee products and think they are my best discovery in years.  I love them so much, I now sell them:  http://healthystrong.myshaklee.com.

I used to keep a neat and tidy home, but have tremendously lowered my standards since having kids.  I am still adjusting.

I drink a cup of coffee every afternoon before I get off work so I have energy to start my second shift as Mom.

Just when I think I have this Mom-thing figured out, I am quickly reminded that I surely do not.
